This extensive Concord Ohio kitchen project was brought on by the desire of the owners to have a more open feeling into the adjoining rooms of their house and update the look at the same time. This was accomplished by opening up walls and doorways into the nearby rooms.
This large custom kitchen, which spans over 25 feet, features total custom cabinetry. Character grade cherry with a glazed finish was used on all cabinets except the island which received a custom faded paint finish with a glaze. All drawers and pull out shelves feature full extension, hardwood drawer boxes with quality self closing drawer guides.
One of the main kitchen features is the 48 inch Wolf stainless steel range under a large custom, arched exhaust hood. A beautiful ceramic tile wall with deco tile inlay accents the range area as well.
Built in refrigerator drawers, dual dishwashers, and a large 48 inch built in refrigerator, all with custom wood panels were installed as well.
Extensive lighting was added to the room to properly light it. Recessed lights were added to the main room area. Mini recessed halogen lights were added to light up the beautiful cabinet fronts. Zenon under-cabinet lights light up the countertop and backsplash area. All other electrical work was brought up to todays electrical requirements as part of the job.
Granite countertops were installed with coordinating limestone backsplash tiles and metal deco tiles. Twin undermount sinks were installed with one on the island and one at the main counter. Character grade hickory hardwood floors were installed to help create a warm, rustic room which the homeowners desired.
